A Letter from Daniel & Karin
Hello and thank you for taking the time to check out our profile. We are a family of three filled with love and laughter. As a family, we enjoy playing hide-and-go-seek, board games, and walking to the park together. We promise that your child will grow up in a safe, and caring home full of opportunities to grow in faith, love, and happiness. Our family is comfortable with whatever level of communication you would prefer. We hope to hear from you soon.
We met at a Christian ministry in college and later served as missionaries in Moscow for a few years, where we got to know each other better. Upon returning to the States, we worked at the same campus ministry, began dating and got married. During Karin’s first pregnancy she was diagnosed with a kidney illness, putting her at great risk with any subsequent pregnancies. Our son Gideon was born as a micro-preemie but is now healthy and so excited to welcome his new sibling to the family! We enjoy traveling, going to Disney, attending amusement parks, and imaginative play. We are excited to welcome your child into all of our family fun!
Karin exemplifies what it is to be kind and creative. No matter what kind of day she’s had, she constantly thinks of others before she thinks of herself. Her patience and heart for service challenge me to be a better person as well. Karin loves baking, reading, writing in her journal, and going to dinner with her close-knit group of mom friends. I also enjoy spending time with her and often try to go to work early in the morning in order to get home earlier so I can spend time with her, even if that means doing something simple together like watching a movie. She is excited to teach our next child how to bake, read, and share with them her love of writing.
Dan is my favorite person on Earth! He brings out my true sense of humor and has us laughing all the time. He makes me think deeply and pushes me to be a better person, and mother. He loves doing home improvement projects, playing golf, and spending time as a family. He is a wonderful friend, an amazing husband, and a loving father!
Dan loves those around him through serving and making clear that he cares not just with words but with actions. He loves play wrestling and sword fighting with our son, and I know he’s excited to do the same with our next new child.
Gideon, our 5-year-old son, loves chicken nuggets, french fries, and lemonade. He enjoys playing with cars with his friends, wrestling with his dad every night, and playing with dinosaurs. He is so excited to share his favorite things with your child and to be their best friend!
Our Extended Family
Dan is an only child, and we are all very close with his parents (Grandma and Grandpa), while Karin has 4 siblings and we try to visit her parents (Gran and Granddad) and her extended family in Texas at least once or twice a year. All the grandchildren in our families are loved from all around the world, as we have friends and family all across the US and overseas. Most of our family lives in TX, CA, SC, or NY, and we always enjoy visiting them when we can! They are all so excited for our adoption and we know that every one of them will love your child with all their hearts.
We live at the top of a hill at the end of a cul-de-sac. Our neighbors are all kind and range from young families to retired couples. Our home is a one-story with 4 beautiful bedrooms. Our favorite place in our house is our large family room because it is cozy, and has two french doors leading to our beautiful backyard.
We all love our backyard, with the two fruit trees (peach and plum), and vine-covered patio area. We look forward to adding a sand/garden boxes to our yard in the future so we can have more family time outdoors.
We believe that a promise should have weight; that the promise should be something that one knows, without a doubt, that they can fulfill. In our family, we never say “we promise” unless we KNOW we can do it.
We promise that your child will always be loved. Their life will be filled with laughter, education, support, and plenty of family time. We promise to teach them about God, and the love of Jesus. They will grow up knowing their story and your love for them. We are open to sharing letters, pictures, and visits and look forward to getting to know you.

More About Our Family
Our Special Interests
We love playing board games and host fairly regular game nights at our home with friends and family. We love imaginative play with our son and enjoy being silly as a family. Hide and go seek is the best! Dan enjoys home improvement projects, and helping make our house a home. Karin loves to bake, and enjoys learning new skills and making cinnamon rolls every Christmas morning. We also love to travel and are excited to share the world with your child!
We are Bible-believing Christians. We've both spent several years overseas as missionaries, sharing the joy and Truth about Jesus and the gospel.
Our Musical Interest
Karin played the clarinet for 10 years from Middle School through most of college. We both have participated in church choirs during Christmas time. Karin's family is VERY musically inclined, with her father being a music minister at most every church they attended and her siblings playing a trumpet and flute respectively.
About Our Home
We live in a 4 bedroom home at the top of a cul de sac. The baby's room is across from our son's room, and has the best view of the mountains from our home. We have a guest room that's mostly used as a playroom at the moment, and full of games and toys. Our backyard has grass, a covered area with climbing vines and two fruit trees (peach and plum). We have hopes to put in a sand box and a few garden boxes on the side of the house for all our family to spend quality time in the outdoors. In the summer, we sit in awe of the sunsets from our back porch, and thank God for the gift of the home he's provided for us.
We have a five year old son named Gideon. He was born 3 months early as a micro-preemie, but as energetic and fun-loving as he is, you'd never be able to tell. He loves to play outside with hot wheels monster trucks and dinosaurs, and is a fan of Spider-Man and Iron Man. He is extremely outgoing and always enjoys meeting new friends as well as playing with his current ones. He enjoys "helping" his dad with home improvement projects around the house, but is still working on putting his clothes and toys away where they should go. He often asks for a brother or sister that he can talk to and play with.
We live in the state of...
New Mexico! It's a state full of diversity, kind hearts, and the most beautiful sunsets in the world. We live at the base of a gorgeous mountain range, of which the state has many. There are several universities in the state, and they offer a wonderful scholarship program for all residents who graduate from a high school in New Mexico. It's a state of diversity, thanks to the many reservations, military bases, and people of many cultures and races who came to the land of enchantment because of the culture of open hearts. We love this state, and think it is a beautiful and supportive place to live and raise a family.
Our neighbors are all kind, helpful, and generous. It's a very quiet neighborhood, with residents ranging from young families to retired individuals. Kids play touch football and tag in front of our yard, and most everyone puts up Christmas lights for the holidays. It's a wonderful place to live!
